Welcome!

Thank you for visiting and if this is your first time to TipJet.com please take time to explore the site and learn about the Gluhareff Pressure Jet Engine.  To our returning G8-2 pressure jet engine enthusiasts, it’s great to have you back!

A History of Eugene M. Gluhareff and the G8-2

At the 2008 American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics conference in Reno, Nevada, I was very proud to participate in a presentation given by Professor Ronald Barrett-Gonzalez from the The University of Kansas entitled “The Gluhareff Pressure Jet Engine, Past, Present and Future”. Professor Barrett gave a fascinating lecture to a room full of aviation enthusiasts and aerospace professionals recounting Eugene Gluhareff’s life along with an in-depth technical discussion about the Gluhareff Pressure Jet Engine.

I’m very pleased to share Professor Barrett’s presentation here on TipJet.com for everyone to read and enjoy. I know you’ll find this very interesting so please go to the AIAA Presentation, for the complete text.  Thank you, Professor Barrett!

Blueprints and Construction Plan Now Available!

There is a saying “what was once old is new again” and Gluhareff Helicopters is excited to announce that we are offering reproductions of the original G8-2 Pressure Jet Engine blueprints.  The plans range from the 5 lb hobby size engine to the 130 lb thrust engine.  The G8-2 made the cover of Mechanix Illustrated in March 1975 and it instantly became a very popular engine for hobbyists. These full size, paper prints have not been available for over a decade and as a bonus, every order comes with a copy of the original 60-page Technical Handbook compiled by Mr. Gluhareff himself.

We want everyone to enjoy these classic prints and plans so during these tough economic times we’ve rolled the prices back to make them more affordable.  Gluhareff Helicopters appreciates the importance for science and aerospace studies in schools and universities and would like to help.  If you are an educator and looking for science projects, please contact us for special school packages and discounts.

Because you asked, in the coming months we’ll be adding more plans and drawings from the Gluhareff archives of other unique inventions by Mr. Gluhareff so please keep checking back for updates.

Thank you to all our loyal followers around the world for your continued support and I look forward to hearing from you.

Keeping the dream alive in 2010!
